bulb config in 6 bulb fixture

I have a 6 bulb T5 fixture on my tank, the rear 3 bulbs and the front 3 bulbs are on different switches

can I put only 3 actinics in the front and my other bulbs in the back in order to set them on different light schedules...I like to have actinics come on about 30 mins early and stay on 30 minutes later than the full spectrum lights


will this look stupid in the tank?

Im asking first before trying because its a PITA to move the bulbs around

Can you rewire the switches? Something like every other bulb on one switch?

I would do 1 GE Daylight, 1 Actinic or Super Actinic, 1 Aquablue and the rest Blue Plus having only actnics on will look very very blue.... mix them up...

yeah, I want it to be just blue for 30 mins before the rest come on and for 30 mins after the go out at night

could I mix three 6500Ks with 3 actinics...I like a white look, not yellow, not blue, but white....

6500 k might be bit too yellow--- maybe mix 6500 and 10000

don't do all 6500k, that's not going to look too well with the actinics. Use 2 6500k. The 6500k are only used for growth since they also have the most par I believe. I'd throw in a 10k bulb with the 2 6500k
