Bulk Head leaking help

I have a 2in bulk head on my plexiglass sump that i cant seem to make hold water. I had to use the bulk head backwards with the threaded part going into the tank but i have done this before with sucess so im not sure what the issue is now.

I wanted to know what silicon you guys have used the will provide a seal between the plexiglass and the plastic of the bulk head. I would need it to be avail localy so i can get the tank running today if possible.

do you have the gasket on the flange side or inside the tank?

Flange side outside the tank. I cant place it inside since the threading on that part is not water tight. I think the issue is that the hard pipe is going thru the wall and the pipe might be pulling the bulk head off slight on one of the sides.

if your going to seal it permanent don't use silicone on Plexiglas not the first choice at least use a sealant that is made to permanently glue it in place like an epoxy or a glue and of course on the outside of the sump

how big is the hole compared to the bulkhead did someone cut it too big, if you want a quick fix just put another gasket on the other side I know it wont last forever but should be good till you can fix permanently and should seal just fine pertaining the hole isn't drastically too big

Ray, This is what I would try,
empty the water in the sump,
loose the flange as much as you can or take it out if you can,
inspect that there are no debris or cracks on the gasket,
light coat the gasket with some clear silicone grease and also coat the base of the bulkhead,
put it back together but do not tight yet,
first assemble the pump intake and once done tight the bulkhead by hand

i would try the inner gasket + the one on the outside+the silcone greese+a piece of rubber tubing(friend showed me this trick) between the BH and before the elbow you have.If all that fails. I would cut the hole larger were the pipe is goingto the outside wall.That should release some of the preasure the pipe is forcing on the sump, and should let you square you sump.last case permanent seal try some goop..

Silicone grease and some sump placement adjustments got it to seal without having to goop perm seal it in place. Thanks for the great advice on the silicone grease, that stuff is a god send.

I was ready to put in the piece of flexible tubing to release some presure but i got it to work with just the grease.
