The final list has been sent to BRS - we ended up with 36 names on the list. I've asked them to confirm that we will be good to go for Tuesday.

I'll update this thread tomorrow with the confirmation along with final instructions.

The buy is a go for tomorrow. Each participant will receive an email advising that group buy status has been added to their account.

Please wait until you get the email before you start buying. I spoke with Jon @ BRS and he advised the email should be out by 4:00 pm eastern.

Let me know if you have any issues.

So does anyone know what happened? Is this group buy going to happen??
 
If I had to guess I would say yes it is going to happen, the buy is in effect for a week so we have plenty of time. BRS may be having a busy day, networking trouble etc... they wouldnt leave all of us re-re-repeat customers hanging in the breeze.
 
Hmm, what kind of discount does this get us, there was a $3 difference in the order I priced up yesterday and then today. Is this it ?

Plus I just found cheaper prices for what I am looking for at Big Als and Amazon...........very confused as to what this Group buy is supposed to do?
 
So is this only for their brands and not other brands ? I am confused, everything I look at is maybe $1 or $2 cheaper than regular price.
 
Bulk reef supply supplies "quality" reefkeeping products at an already low price, not all items are deeply discounted for the group buy but they ARE cheaper than their regular price, and different items carry different discounts, I think that usually they give us the biggest bulk purchase price for each individual item ie... if a single item is 40 dollars for one then if you buy 10 of them the item will be 30 per and that is how they price them.
If you are confused my suggestion is to spend a few days researching the quality of product you found for a lower price and the quality of what BRS is offering and decide if a couple bucks makes that much of a difference for the difference in quality. In this hobby you get what you pay for unless a fellow reefer is extremely kind or hard up for cash. IMO the group buy is a wonderful thing and will utilize it any chance I get.

Quality of product ? I'm comparing apples to apples, the exact same product, and I can find it cheaper at other sites even with the BRS group discount.
