Bulk reef Supply Group buy

Let me know what kind of price you can get on Radium 20k 250W SE bulbs. I can get them for about $75 elsewhere and am not due for a few months, but if they can do better, LMK.

Your best bet is to look on their site Dave. Bulkreefsupply.com. Look at the bottom tier pricing (like 100+ unit) and that's where it fall around.

Ok we have 10. I will leave this open to signup until Wed evening at which time I will submit the names/accounts

I need email and BRS names from Weebatix, Macclellan, Pandarian, and Fry-man.

BRS account name, email, and full name please.

Then it is probably something they are prohibited in selling that way. Looks like 81 each to me. I cannot tell you what the cost would be in the group buy..there may be no change on that particular item and their price per unit may be fixed from the OEM.

ORP in the aquaria is an electrical measurement, but it is also a measure used to indicate a "system's ability to eliminate wastes"...

http://www.wetwebmedia.com/redox.htm

"Saturated Oxygen Levels and High Redox Potential...
... are at least indirectly stimulating to stressed coral, and conducive to overall, high water quality. The use of ozone, protein skimmers, iodine supplements and ion exchange resins are some of the most common ways to improve water quality and decrease the level of dissolved organics (beyond good old-fashioned water exchanges). Such water quality, likewise, is not usually conducive to competitive growths of nuisance organisms, like encroaching algae species."

Here's an old article by Randy Holmes Farley that goes over ORP in a fair amount of detail... It shows the relationship between ORP and pH, and the relationship between ORP and dissolved organics as well...

CT:

I think e are on the same page here. actually read the first 2 links, and then spoke to my son at length about them (he is a Biology and chemistry lab tech).

ORP is simply an indicator..I use it as an early warning system because there are so many things that impact it.

To me the real worth in Redox (and actually all test gear values) is being able to tell whether something is amiss, or about to be so.

Knowing what your systems usual ORP signature is during an interval, seeing a sharp (@50 mV) or steady (5-10 mV) change per day should lead you to further investigation (and reaction). IS there "something" dead/decomposing in the system? Did a "little helper" pour in a whole packet of food? Is your protein skimmer on the skids?

this really sums it up for me, and it is only valuable after you have collected data over time. This is probably another topic in itself though, and interesting indeed!!

There's no "bottom tier pricing" shown on this bulb.

Dave,

I stand corrected. The group buy price is $69.99. I can still get you added if you like.
