A positive sighting this morning.
10 days ago, I had a topoff accident that delivered a 5 day supply of buffer to my perfectly buffered 52gal. Alk soared. It was a day before I left my tank to a sitter and left town for 10 days in a 105 degree heatwave.
The peppermint shrimp definitely survived. And this morning one of the fragile little bumblebees finally put in an appearance, in its usual spot, annoying my crocea clam.
Everything's nearly back to normal, kudos to the novice sitter, who followed instructions to a T.
I was sure the bumblebees were goners, thanks to my own airheadedness, forgetting that topoff unit was still plugged in during a water change. We had a rapid salinity drop and re-salt, and they lived.
