I realize butterflies are not considered reef safe, but I have seen people with them in their tanks. Even tanks with sea nems. Anyone here have any experience with them? Specifically a raccoon and a pakistan. I have a mixed reef tank with LPS, SPS, Zoathids, rock news, gorgs and a few leathers.

Would love to see them in my main tank, but if not, I'll keep them in my fish only.

Ok, so I can't list the name but they have the initials RB and they build reefs.

There are quite a few butterflies that are largely reef safe. All of the Chelmon and Forcipiger species for example. Only thing those go after are worms.

IME, Raccoon and the Pakistan nipped at coral and the Raccoon was seen a few times messing with some of the CUC.

Yeah I kinda figured that would be the answer. :/. I really like my Pakistan too. He's like a puppy. Even wags his tail when you feed him.

Pyramid butterflies are reef safe and full of personality.
