Button Polyp??? Can anyone identify the species?

Had these guys hitchhike their way into my aquarium. INitially there were only 2 or 3 on the rock, and over the last few years they have grown to cover a large portion of it. I have never really fed them or done much with them. Any suggestions on care or feeding?

If you've had them a couple of years and they've grown quite a bit, I think you are doing it right. They look like palythoas to me.

If they're palys, try feeding them some mysis... they'll close up on em real quick.

I'll give that a try. Here is a picture from a long time ago, after an angel fish almost wiped them out. The angel died in a move, but the polyps have grown quite a bit since.

Interesting , I never saw that variety before. How big are they ? It is hard to tell from the pics.

The largest ones are 3/16" maybe 1/4" in diameter.

Thanks Googles images of Palythoas and got a few exact matches. Wish mine were as colorful as some of the ones I saw. lol
