Buying an anemone offline

There's a really nice 6inch RBTA on divers den. I was wondering people's thoughts on shipping anemones.

The rbta i got from dd came in great shape, i now have 3 in my tank

i would say go for it, if something doesnt work out you have there guarantee. do you currently have any anemones?

I had a green gig in my 40 breeder. I waited for my new 90 gallon to mature before I wanted to add a RBTA in it.

I buy online (not offline) all the time. They always arrive looking like junk and they can takes weeks to start looking healthy again. Its a huge risk.

I bought a RBTA from Diver's Den a couple years ago, arrived in GREAT condition and did very well. Split 5 times since so I have an Anemone Hill that takes up a whole corner of my 185 g. I say go for it if you have a tank that is ready for an anemone with good circulation and lighting.

Have you checked your local club? Someone local is bound to have a BTA available. Should cost less and you won't have to worry about shipping.
