buying cleanup crew

im about to buy my clean up crew....
i have some baby brittle starfish in my tank from the live rock.. i dont have much algae just alot of brown that is stuck on the walls of my tank, i cant scrub off.
i heard the shrimp may eat the starfish and i dont want that to happen.. should i still get some.. i was thinking the peppermint shrimp. also some snails.. is this going to be ok since i dont have much algae?

also do i need to acclimate the snails and shrimp?

Yes, acclimate it. You don't need to be as careful with snails and crabs as you do with fish, yes, I agree. Acclimate them.

The peppermint shrimp won't eat the brittle starfish they'll crawl back into their holes in the live rock before the shrimp can get them, I bought 5 snails, 5 blue legged hermit crabs, and 3 peppermint shrimp when my tank got done cycling, Then after I had a few fish in their I bought 2 turbo snails and 3 sand sifting snails to add into my tank, I just sat them in the tank in the bag so that their water would get the same temp as the tank water
