buying dispute

So I bought an item from a fellow reefer in the WTB/WTS tread, a week ago.I've had numerous transactions take place on the board with no issues. He seems to be giving me the run around about the shipping situation. A couple bogus tracking numbers that he claims are the USPS issue and still waiting for a new "correct" #.

I think unless I receive a verifiable tracking # mañana I will pursue the claim route. Just looking for what your guys thoughts/options/opinions are.

Thanks
Dan

Sorry, I don't have any experience buying used from a non-local. In all honesty, I have bought very few things used as I am somewhat paranoid about buying used. 90% of the time I buy used because for me, I like knowing the history of the product and the added bonus of being able to utilize the warranty if need be. Just my .02...

As far as your situation, I would totally go the "claim route" if I were in your shoes. It's just too bad that you are having this experience. Good luck to you!

I am with sammykonga. Always paranoid I'll get ripped off, especially from out of state. My job doesn't help my paranoia. If you gifted the money via PayPal then you have no leaverage. I would absolutely put a claim in if you pain conventionally. Best of luck

I would file the dispute now, you can always cancel it if/when the items show up. It will show him that you mean business and there are consequences if he screws around.

This isn't Amazon. Usually after 2-3 weeks you should start getting upset. I've had issues with tracking numbers going through a ups store locally run store vs a corporate ups store. And USPS is awful so if he says he shipped it why would you worry?
