Buying some fishies! Clingfish, blennies, oh my!

I have a clingfish that was sold as a striated clingfish, but it is basically the same as the red ones on DD.

Mine i can never see because he hangs on the back glass which is painted black. I rarely see it when it makes a quick dash for food and i notice the movment, otherwise it sits in one place 24/7 and does nothing. Kind of a cool fish to see once in a while, but i likely wouldnt purchase another one, just for the fact it is pretty boring, and no one would ever see it unless you specifically pointed it out.

Tailspot blennys are one of my favorite fish. Just all around awesome fish. One of my favorites i have owned. I tired a pair and was not successful. Currently have one and he is more fearless than you would expect.

+1

I love mine. He is definitely the most fearless fish in the tank. My Kole tang absolutely hates him and will chase him from across the tank if he sees him grazing on algae. The Tailspot will retreat to his bolthole, then defiantly return to his grazing patch as soon as the Kole leaves the vicinity. Awesome.

Do you still have the Caribbean Red Clingfish? If so, how is it doing? I was thinking about getting one.

Thanks,
Jim

I've had one for about a month now, and it's quickly become one of my favorite fish. Although it's nothing to look at, it has a great personality.

As others have said, it hid for the first few days but now it is always easy to see the bottom of the fish. It is usually clinging to the upper right of the front pane where I feed the tank. When I put my hand in to feed, it clings onto my hand and arm moving quickly looking for food. It acts kind of like a puppy. My 4 year old likes when it jumps on her hand too.

I've read that they might be poisonous, but I don't think so. Does anyone know whether this is true? Their body feels soft and squishy.

I still have mine, he's the first to come out of hiding if I put my hand in the tank and follows it around like a puppy. Cute fish. Back of mine is painted black too so you do have to look for him. I love him, totally worth it for the interaction.
