Hi Roger,
I've had a brand new pair of 6000's with the multicontroller in my 150 for 2 months now and they have been working great. I have them set to alternate every 30 minutes or so. A couple of days ago one of the pumps began making a somewhat loud buzzing noise. I removed the cover and untangled a small piece of macro algae that seemed to have found its way into the impeller housing. Everything seemed fine once I turned it back on. The following day the buzzing returned only a little louder and now the driver began to make a long irregularly pitched whining noise for about 2 minutes when it turned on and then it would fade away (I'm assuming that this is the alarm in the driver housing). I've inspected the impeller housing and everything seems fine. I haven't cracked the unit open yet but I'm not sure what I would even be looking for if I did.
Any advice on what could be causing this as well as what I can do to fix it?
Thanks!
Glen
