Moved On
well i just recently switched from dosing kent marine calcium and kent buffer to dosing c balance for calc and alk. i noticed the last few days that my alk has gone down from about 8.2 to 7.8 and my calcium has really not moved from about 380-400. does this take some time to "level" things out or what. just looking for some info thank everybody.

oh and happy holidays!!!

If the alkalinity is dropping, the dose needs to be bigger. It usually takes a while to figure out the correct dosage.

Hmm, you could go for two smaller doses if the pH is getting into the danger zone. What is the measurement just after adding?

C balance is not as concentrated as the Kent product, so it's going to take more to maintain your level's.

Do you monitor your ph ? I doub't there will be a problem adding the whole dose at once.
