I would say that if you are constantly battling low ph, and you have the room to add the product then I would definitely take a hard look at it. I can guarantee that you will see a difference. When I tested this unit the ph went from 7.9 - 8.1 up to 8.3 - 8.5. The only downside to the unit that I can see so far is the amount of time the media lasts until you need to replace the cartridge. This of course will be dependent upon the amount of carbon dioxide within the room, as well the size of skimmer you are running this on.
