Ca reactor- comments and suggestions

Planning to get a GEO reactor.

Is this a GREAT choice?

Shout I get the largest reactor I can fit under the tank in the stand?

Should I buy the CO2 bottle or plan to rent one?

I get my co2 from a local beer distributer. They want to swap the bottle so I just "rent" theirs. They charged a 30 deposit for the bottle and 15 fill it. If you are going to get co2 from a welding supply you would need your own, but most beer distributers only swap out bottles, and beer distributers are always close and convienient. I would get the large Geo. I love it . Built like a tank and was very easy to set up and dial in. This was my first calc reactor. I have the small one on my 125 and it is just cutting it. I am heavy on lps and sps .

Wile I've never used a Geo they generally get very good reviews. As for the size the bigger you get the longer it will run without having to change the media. Also IMO I would just get a Co2 tank for you local welding supply store. Some people will buy a nice shinny new tank and then find that's its a pain in the a** to get someone to fill it.

I just went to my local welding store and picked up a 10lb tank for about 45$ then when it runs out I just trade for another tank that has been hydro tested for leaks and should only cost about 15-20$

COuld not find many vendors selling this reactor that have it in stock!
