CA Reactor Question????

Just instaled a CA reactor. Have a few question that would like to get answered.

1. Can / do I still a Magnesium? I was told to never add Mag and Ca on the same day. True?

2. Do I still add Kalk?

3. Do I still a Ph buffer? I have the Ca reactor set up with a Ph Controller to turn on and off set to 6.5

Thank you in advance please dont hold back. I'm not that new to the hobbbie just get a lot of conficting answers at the LFS in my area.

You should add magnesium when necessary based on in tank measurements, regardless of what calcium and alkalinity supplementation methods are used.

You can choose to use limewater, especially if you want to raise pH, but it is not always necessary.

Never add pH buffers to control pH. The rector will add all the alkalinity you need, if sized appropriately.

Watch your tanks pH. When I set my effluent pH that low it drops my tanks ph over a period of a few days. My biggest battle is trying to set the drip rate to keep up with the calcium demand without dropping my pH. I even drip kalk as a top off but my evaporation rate is pretty low this time of year so it doesn't help my pH much.
