Ca reactor questions

Hey Jason,
I bought the Geo 618 last week w/ Reef Fanatic regulator. Just a couple questions, You relayed thru Josh via the phone that the regulator is preset and 20psi is ok...i forgot to ask about the tank pressure..its reading around ~700psi for ~55 on the other scale...this too is normal? The Geo owners manual doesnt mention it, and i was a little concerned about the 20psi cause the manual said i want 10psi.

I set the system to 30BPM and 60ml/min...sound like a good starting point for a 200gal tank/300gal system? I noticed my Reactor ph is at 6.9 for 2 days now dipping down to 6.8 at night...should it be lower? IS the Solenoid supposed to be open 24/7 with 30BPM unless the pH drops below a certain point?
I am using a Neptune AC3 for controlling. Are u familiar with controlling the regulator via the AC3? I just want to make sure of what i am doing! I have it to turn the CO2 off if the reactor pH is < 6.45 and if the tank pH is below 7.9. Any other coding needed?

Thanks,
Ben

Hi Ben,

I'm sorry, i thought we were talking about tank pressure, the tank pressure is preset on regulator. So you don't have to worry about the pressure from your tank, converted to your needle valve, so all that is all factory preset to work with the calcium reactors.

So really the only thing you do is adjust your bubble count.

There is not really any rule of thumb on how many bubbles a minute, can vary from tank to tank, but I would try and start with a 6.5 ph level in your reactor. That's just a rough starting point, but works pretty good for most tanks.

On the solenoid, it will always be on unless your control unit tells it to stop due to ph dropping too low.

I haven't used the AC3 on them, but sounds like setting it to 6.45 is a good idea.

So you probably just need to crank up your Co2 just a little bit to drop the ph level some more.
