Cabinet Maker?

i know a guy that built my solid oak stand for my 90 but i do not know if he will build a bow front i will call him and find out

I know a guy but for kitchen cab's he was talking $250 a linear foot so I didn't use him. With your project I bet that would work out to $600 plus. But if You want me to get his info for you I will.

I contacted the guy about building u a cabnet and he said he is interested in doing it for u he just needs measurements and an idea of what u want it to look like and he will give u a quote pm me and ill give u my # so we can talk about it this guy lives in avon OH.

well...yes the guy is expensive....but a bowfront in solid oak...SOLID??????????? The wood alone would cost you $200 plus...easy. But I still thought the guy across the street would be costly. He must use gold hinges or something. :)

HEY MILKMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

your pm's working????LOL

Nope, not kidding. The amount of time it would take to curve the wood and do it right I would charge 2000 myself to do it.

I'm a contractor... pretty good at estimating time, materials and skill involved.

a 1/4 circle isn't the easiest thing to make and make look right. 30-40 hours labor at say 50 dollars per hour for a shop and skilled craftsman. A sweat box will bbe needed and thats not a common thing either

Not kidding one bit

cleve shure do lol.....

Oh ok, my mistake. I thought you wrote me about something 6 days ago and then after 2 replies just either forgot about it or put me on iggy. lol

if you followed the radius throughout the design and say had the doors follow it....now we are talking very expensive like henredon or drexal heritage on steroids expensive. Door would have to be soaked and shaped and contoured and set just so to prevent them from warping. Might as well add some burled walnut inlay while you're at it.

Theres other ways, looking good thats another story. I could do a cheap one like I did for myself for 400 ish range, but impressive quality work. not a chance for under1200

Black walnu or purple heart, that would be sweet!

buddy of mine his Dad restored boats for a Marina in Eastlake.

Old man and the sea type wooden stuff.

saw clamped and drying bent boards over there every now and again at their house. teak, mahogany and such.

Never bothered to hang around long enough to watch the old man work his magic. Guess I should have. According to what I have heard about it. It's quite a thing to get contours just so to match outward and high middle low ends of a sail boat curves with a funny angle kinda like cheap wood from HD or Lowes except calculated and intentional. Even with the trusses, they only get you so far if the wood is not contoured properly. He explained it...but I never saw it done.

Teak wood, Nice stuff almost to hard to hammer a nail through.

A normal stand 400 to 600 yeah curved corner tank cabinet grade nope :)
