This is the back of the tank, it has a nice little refugium section I've got about a 4 inch sandbed and qute a bit of chaeto algae. I had a little fuge light too that I bought from cadlights about a week ago the blub burnt out... Im going to send em an email and see if they'll replace it. I mean common its only been about a month since I recived it.

Wow the bulb went out that fast! Call them and hopefully they'll understand and replace it free of charge.

On a different note I've change up my fish list. Now I'll be going with a Flaming Prawn Goby and a couple of Trimma Cana. What do you think of those gobies?

My LFS has a flaming prawn right now it is TINY like smaller than a dime. cool fish though. As for a trimma gobie I've never seen one.

Coral and a cleaner shrimp this friday!

Hey Robbie Reefer, Got my 12g today and it came in, in a homemade crate. Did yours come that way? I haven't opened it yet cause it's here at work but I did the shake test and sounds ok (fingers cross). Lol

when I got mine it was in a cardboard box and as soon as I lifted It I knew it was broken. Sounds like yours made it alright congrats!

My 2c on your stocking choice (since you thought you would get flamed). I think people really overdo the "overstocking" thing and inch per gallon rule being fully grown. If you skim aggressively there is no problem with keeping more small fish than the "rules" state, as long as you have plans to move them out to larger homes as they grow.

I switched philosophy on this and have been keeping a bunch of small fish lately and swapping when they grow and I really love it. Bring variety to the tank and non-reefers really only care about the fish anyway so it brings appeal to the mass audience.

So, get a skimmer and stock away...

Again, just my 2c :)

thats what I plan on doing I have a cool LFS so im sure they would give me store credit if I wanted to swap. Eventually the clowns will go but Im enjoying them for now. Actually just picked up some frags (Pink zoas and a mettalic orange mushroom) plus a cleaner shrimp they are acclimating right now! I've been doing weekly water changes so I havent felt the need for a skimmer yet and I hear most nano skimmers are crap anyway. do you have a recommendation?

So I picked up some supplements. Reef Foundation ABC+ im kinda lost as to dosing. there are no directions on the box or container only a chart and I dont want to read it wrong.
Can someone chime in?

awesome, same tank that i have- i like it a lot. i slapped a big skimmer on it though. the vortech mp10 is a great fit for the tank as well. i haven't dosed anything- just tech M to get rid of bryopsis.

i am needing to clean out the pump, but i can't for the life of me figure out how to dislodge it.

your tank is looking great- congrats and good luck.

My gosh, Djedhi you have an MP-10 on your 12G? is it too much? i have it on my 39G Cadlights and its pushing a real good amount of flow already.

alright guys heres the new stuff! I shot a short video the noise you here is the snail on my pump vibrating into the glass the tank runs silent.

Picked these up for 25 bucks and they are much more pink. my camera sucks : (

I found a metal clamp on my return pump and removed it. Check out the pic. I can't believe they even put this in there. Did you have one too?

Alright so this update is long over due but here is how she's looking now. I did rescape my rock pre-corals to make room, and I gotta give credit where credit is do Austinchaps 8 gallon cadlight tank, made me realize I need an arch. Im thinking of swaping the clowns for a pink steak wrasse and a neon gobie, but the watchman is'nt going anywhere. In the first picture before christmas you can see a little red slime on the sand and no corals.

Im also getting some pretty good coraline growth especially on the pumps. The branch rock has also really colored up.
