I have seen a couple threads in the nano reef forum. I have done little reading on them. Best to search there.

yeah and for the price they are kinda attractive i mean if everything is up to par with them you cant get everything they come with for that price

thanks lakeside ill check them out on there see what i can find

i use a piece of that think rigid wall insulation under all my tanks anyway to help reduce stress spots to thats not that big of deal

Aaron,

I still have an empty cube and never heard about putting insulation under a tank. What kind should I use? DOes it have a name I can recognize at Home Depot?

thanks,
sara

I cant think of the name of it but you cant miss it it comes in like 4'x8' sheets but you might be able to find a damged peace because obvisouly you dont need that much just tell them you are looking for the rigid wall insulation and tell them it comes in sheets not the rolls they will know what your talking about any home improvment cntr should have it

are you going to be setting the cube up or were you looking to get rid of it because i need another tank my 20 gol ruined during a move and everything is in a 10gal right now so i need something new and the cad lights tank i want wont be aval till the middle-end of jan being of feb depending on how many people already have them preordered

sara- if you have access to an art supply store you can use 1/4 or 1/2 inch foamcore- that's what I usually use.

Thanks for the tip Dan. I do know an art store.

Aaron - I am keeping the cube, it is just going to take me a looong time to set up. I have decided to drill etc. but more to the point, I am building a sump and doing all the plumbing myself ( I think). I have never done this kind of stuff before so I have to go real slow. I am just about done with my drawings and will post for comment shortly.

Sara- oh ok just wondering cant wait to see your plans I am thinking of adding a sump to my tank also but not sure about the drilling because of having live stock already in it and I dont want to go thru the whole process of having to empty it again but I know I have to do something to get all the equipment out of the display thou its starting to bug me.

Aaron - Bear with me. This is going to be the slowest project in the world. Before I do anything, I have to learn how to cut acrylic, actually I had to look up the word bulk head! Yep that is how new I am to the world of aquarium plumbing. Now in order to get the drawings done - I have to learn AutoCad.

Sara,

lol well just think about it this way no one can tell you this wont be a well thought out project. :) there are some good articles on I think it is either nanotank.com or nano-reef.com that deal with plumbing and cutting diffrent materials I will see what I can find for you
