Cal reactor vs Kalk mixer

STAG HORN DOMINATE REEF
Hi
I'm setting up my BB SPS glass tank right now and this will be the last piece of equipment that I need to add. Which method is easier to set up and run without problem? And any reccomendation on the brand that good for my set up.
24x60x24 glass tank with 40 gal sum and 50 gal DSB fuge. Water flow are from 2x6000 tunze with controller and a tunze wavebox. Lighting are 2x400 15k, 1x175 20k and 2x55 PC actinic. Inside the sum is the ASM G4 plus skimmer. Chiller is 1/3 artica. My cabinet is 29" tall so the Cal reactor has to be less than 27".

Thanks for all of your input

Both. Use Kalk reactor for as long as you can get away with it - its cheap and easy - as long as you dose SLOWLY.

Once you're sucking up more calcium and alk than you can replace with top-off, then you could add a calc reactor.

I just pick up the korallin cal reactor and set it up. But for now I don't have any coral in the tank so I should set the reactor to drip slower than normal and increase when I have add the corals.
I understand that the cal reactor will lower your PH so by adding kalkwasser with top off water that will counter balance the PH.

Thanks for your advice

yeah - both. I've not had a chance to set the kalk back up since I've moved and the pH is suffering because of it.

Keeping them both running is the best choice.

Both - There is something magic for the corals in kalk that I cannot explain with science. The stability a Ca reactor offers makes sense on paper and in your reef.
