Calcium Automat 3170 magnetic mounts

Hi Roger,

I've just purchase the tunze automat. Does it only come with one pair of 6080.50 magnetic mounts? I can't find any documents anywhere with how many they should come with.

I've tried it on 10mm glass and notice that it just slowly slides down the glass (even with the bumpons). This is regardless if the magnet is installed at the top or bottom of the automat.

Can I get an additional magnet and install two pairs on the automat? are there any differences in regards to thinkness between the 6080.5 and 6200.5 magnetics or will i have to match it with another 6080.5?

Andrew,

Is the tank yet filled with water? The 3170 is quite heavy so if the tank is empty it will fall, but with the reduced weight of being in water it should stay put, you can add a second magnet holder or the large 6200.500. It does come with just a single 6080.500.

Hi Roger,

No the tank is not filled yet. I was thinking of adding a 6200.5 to provide additional support. Is there any difference in thickness between the 6080.5 and the 6200.5?

I would fill the tank first, it will likely work fine then. 6200.500 is the same thickness, just stronger, there is an additional pair of magnet in each side.

Hi Roger,

Thanks for the help. It works fine when the tank is filled with water!!
Now, all I have to do is to stop the gurgling sound of the pump when it is sucking in Co2.

I would first shut off the Co2 and open the cap on the reactor to purge all the air/CO2 out.
