Calcium Chloride Source?

I have been on the fence about going the calcium reactor route as well. I have read alot, it looks like the way to go. I should just bite the bullet and get it done with...

Chicago, from what I've read, the bromide issue will affect ALL calcium chloride products by Dow.

As for twopartsolutions.com, link over to that thread about the bromide issue, and look for posts by "Snarkys"... he or she is twopartsolutions.com, and it sounds like they've got things under control over there.

You forgot to search on reef central :D . You can get 3 bags of dow flake (25lb/ea) from me for just $20
Thanks for the great deal, Chivan! I can't wait to mix up my first batch!

True... it doesn't help that I stare at a computer all day long and Outlook alerts me the minute there's a new post... kills productivity!!! ;)

Sure Bucky. 1 bag $10 buck. 3 bags $20.:) Winter is coming, may as well use the other 2 bags to de-ice your door steps;)

Peladow is more pure than the flake. It takes less product to achieve the same result. I belive the flake is 77 percent and the peladow is 93% pure, your adding less junk and more calcium.

Good point, Kevin. And, for those looking for Peladow, Kevin informed me that he has a pallet of 50lb bags available that he is willing to ship. Just PM him if you're interested.

lol I'll read it but of we're having trouble getting decent Calcium chloride then...

Hey, you guys that are looking at calcium reactors, did you happen to see the Thread Of The Month back in July? I was sold on going the calcium reactor route too, but after reading that thread, it sounds like setting up an automatic dosing system for 2 part is the way to go.
