Calcium Dispenser/Osmolator Top-Off System

I took a picture of mine, maybe this will help some of you. Note the reservoir is empty but the calcium dispenser is still full- no siphon. Also note, I'm a spaz a spilled kalk, ideally it shouldn't be like this, with powder everywhere.

Roger, I have one of I believe to be the new style check valves. It has a spring over a plsatic piece with a little ball on the end of it. I've been fighting this thing for an hour... I can blow air through it no problem, but when water tries to pass through it, it lets it through for a second then it locks up. Any tips, am I doing something wrong? It's hooked up exactly as it is supposed to be per the directions and this thread.

What you have is the new style. I would think for that to happen the pressure on the other end has to be greater than the pressure going through. Is the other end of the hose submerged, kinked or far away? I might also try kicking the voltage to 12V.

I tried switching to 12V. There's no kinks. It's not too close to the pump. I tried running it on a piece of 4 foot long hose attached to nothing but the valve and it still happened. No big deal... I have to order some plumbing stuff anyways. Will a 1/4" John Guest check valve work?

I don't know how well that tubing will fit in a john guest fitting. I can send you another as soon as they come in.

That will be fine then. If you don't have my info from the multicontroller, then just PM me when you get them in. BTW, did you finish that thing yet?

Yes, it got her late Wednesday but it went back yesterday, the delay was only because we were closed here.

Just so you know, I found a spring loaded check valve and now everything works perfect! It is made by Hagen and its their 'Elite' check-valve. It allows great flow with zero backflow. I got it from DrsFosterandsmith.com

Cool, I've been holding off on adding Kalk so it didn't backflow.

Roger,
Don't worry about sending that. I never did say thanks for fixing that multicontroller, so Thanks! :D
