Calcium Dispenser

While doing routine maintenance I noticed that the osmolator was not pumping right away. Looked in the container and noticed the dispenser was empty. I then noticed tge tell tale signs of kalk in bottom of container. The one way valve, once tank and dispenser full, is cockeyed when in seated position. Gave it a couple of finger flicks but not right. This valve is supposed to stop back flow. DID NOT. Just purchased last friday. Roger, need some input.

I can send a new one. PM me your address. Make sure to use the included zip tie to tie up the feed hose to the top of the dispenser, the check valve needs to be positioned above the dispenser.

OK Roger. Did not catch that in the instructions. I guess that is why you are here! Does it matter the direction or as long as the check valve, in any position, is above the dispenser?

I don't follow, the check valve only works in one direction. The check valve should be above the dispenser on the feed side to minimize contact with kalk powder and the valve.

yes Roger. I have the check valve installed so the flow is in the forward direction, 'IE', to dispenser. At the moment I have the hose with the check valve above the dispenser. As long as the check valve is above the dispenser it should not matter if it upside down, horizontal or right up, as long as it is above the dispenser in forward flow from the pump, correct?!

Yes, that is correct, I think you need a new check valve, this year we started pretesting them before they ship out because occasionally they are defective.
