Calcium Reactor for SPS question

Hi all,

I've finally decided to invest in a calcium reactor for my sps tank. I was wondering which one everyone is using. I was told that korallin was a good brand to go with. However, I found a person selling a Deltec pf509 with co2 tank and regulator for $475. Does anyone have experience with this model? Any other models you would recommend? I've tried to do searches but the search function seems to always be down....

Thanks,
Steve

I like the Korallin 1502 myself. I don't know much about that Deltec but if it's anything like their skimmers it should be a winner.

aqua medic 1000 is a peice of trash, I've been happy with a lot of aquamedic's products but not the Ca reactor

Thanks for the reply guys. If anyone has experience with the deltec, please let me know. I was basing my decision on their skimmers as well.

I have one. It really works great, but I hope I never need parts. I tried finding the pH probe for it, and there's absolutely no support. I called the Colorado office and they referred me to the German web site, which referred me to the Colorado office.

www.reefmania.net ROCKS. changed out my MRC nano one for the RM one. MRC was crappy IMO. RM has ALL the bells and whistles

check the deltec forum a lot of peopel tehre could help you out. i'm sure it would be a good reactor. they have great feed back on everything IMO

I like MTC.... have the pro calc reactor and I have owned many including korallin, knop, and some other crappy cheap jobs all cannot put output the dkh that this reactor does....can put out a dkh of 50-60 at a constant drip..... ther others at best would put out only 30-40 dkh. Go with a dual chamber reactor it is worth its weight in gold. Good Luck!!

I have a MTC PRO-CAL reactor, it is very easy to use, and adjust.
It is a bit pricy though, but you get what you pay for !

Great part about it is you don't need to do any plumbing to hook it up, or buy additional pumps to run it.
Supply, feed, and vent lines (comes with mounting bracket) can be mounted in the sump

Sold my Korallin piece of crap, the thing would never stay dialed in right, I always had to mess with it, sound it and got a PM, it is great, best unit for the money. Deltec is a good brand, I say get it, the price seems good
