Calcium reactor purchase direction

I am in the market for a calcium reactor.

I will purchase one of the following listed below. Which one would you recommend and why? Shuran, Geo, and Korallin.

I will be purchasing an aquacontroller jr w/ph probe to control my tank and the calcium reactor as well.

I have a 72 gallon bowfront and I am interested in converting from softies to sps.

Any comments and help with which one I should get would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Steve

I have been lookiing and researching as well. Everything I have heard says GEO is the best, as well as easiest to set up and dial in... as plug and play as a reactor could be...

Been looking for a gently used smaller Geo myself

I just ordered a geo 624 to upgrade from my corallife reactor.I also researched seems to be geo all the way. There's a thread in the equip forum.

I researched them awhile back and with some PMs with other members I went with the one I thought had the best reviews and comments.
Pic says it all.

They are built top notch and with nice craftsmanship. George is great person to deal with at GEO and customer service is top notch. Easy to use and easy to set up. Liked it so much I also bought the GEO Nielson reactor and just recently the GEO media reactor. Will transfer over work great on my tank upgrade in the near future

Scuran, Geo, and Korallin

i know farmer had all of these but he went back to the geo

shuran is nice but you need a dosing pump to run it

i know he hates the korallin--

get the 612 with gen-x media or schuran
i know you might be able to get a Co2 bottle from him he has a 5lb sitting around

For a small tank like that you could try a DIY reactor. I have one of the WmTasker DIY ones that I built for around $100. It keeps up with my heavily SPS stocked 58G. The model I built doesn't require any acrylic work - just a water purification canister and PVC pipe.

Otherwise, I also hear that GEO is the way to go.
