Calcium Reactor W/solenoid question??

I just bought and hooked up a Geo Calcium reactor 612. I bought a package deal & it came with a Milwaukee regulator with solenoid. I also have the Milwaukee PH monitor with it. I've have this system hooked up and running for 1 week now. I've been trying to "dail it in" and I noticed this morning that once again the PH meter has once again dropped to 6.3 which I was glad to see after 4 day's of it hanging around 6.6 . But I noticed that the bubble counter was still bubbling away. So I unplug the solenoid and it did nothing. My question here is: When unplugged the solenoid should make a click sound and the bubbles in the bubble counter should stop right?? Is that correct??

that is correct, if you have it setup correctly. Unplug the solenoid and see if the bubbles stop.

I did and they just keep on bubbling. I try'd Capo's suggestion of tapping on it to see if it was stuck open too. But it doesn't do anything but bubble. Is there some way to remove it from the regulator and work on it or is it all enclosed?? Do I need to just get another one??

If you have it hooked up correctly then yes the solenoid is bad. I would just ditch and buy a new one. I had to do the same, after 4 years mine went bad.

Well, it ani't been but 1 week. I'm not sure if it ever shut off, I thought it did when I first plugged it up and tested it. Well what does one of those cost??

Update: I took the solenoid off the Co2 tank ( cause I'm a chicken and afraid to make tank go boom) and then tapped on it with a ratchet and then plugged it up..........And it worked!! The chamber went back down to 6.5 and the solenoid shut off the C02. I guess it was just stuck, no worries.
