I plan on drilling my 180g. and building a full length overflow during the move. I want to use all 1" bulkheads and 90's so the overflow box doesnt stick out far. anyone know how wide it will have to be? or other advice? I think Ill have 4 drains and maybe a extra 2 for future closed loop etc. I have a sheet of .25" plexi I would like to use for the box if possible.
Thanks

I left a little room to remove the elbows if I ever needed to..

Joe, Be sure to make it big enough to be able to assemble it and disassemble it if needed down the road. 1/4" mat'l. should be enough. I would add a few braces front to back in the overflow if you are going to make it full length though. If you put the bulkheads in from the inside you will need room in the overflow for that. If you put the bulkheads in from the outside you will have more of the bulkhead in your overflow. Either way you need some space in the overflow. 5 or 6" tall and 5" front to back is popular.IMO/IME Go check out Murphs if you get a chance.

a little change of plans, Im going with a 2 ft overflow with 4 1'' bulkheads. If I get 4 slip bulkheads and slip 90's I can cut down the male end on the 90's I should be able to make the box slim. I started making a 4 by 4 box. everyone have luck with gluing acrylic to glass? Thanks guys!
