I can bring the bottle of calibration fluid I have here. It is only like 2 ounces so I don't mind a few drops for each refractometer but (sorry Dave) I can't fill anyone's swing type hydrometers.
BUT for you guys I will mix up some water and have the salinity at exactly 30ppt according to my calibrated refractometer and you can use a few ounces for each swing-arm hydrometer just to see if you are reading the same. I don't see why this would be any less effective than using the solution.
Hope there are some people that want to do this. I know mine was reading higher than it should've by .002 so when I thought I had 1.026 it was only 1.024 but I guess that's better than reading 1.026 when it was 1.028
