Haha i have a sohal tang a purple tang and a achilles tang and a moorish idol. in my 90. Do not fret i have a 375 on the way.

So far regal eats frozen mysis and live brine. Idol eats flakes pellets whatever it seems. Tang eating pellets and rods food.

So far no ick. Running water at 1.015 and just small does of copper.

One more trivia.....how much do u think I paid out the door for those three......regal is not of the red sea region.....although I did buy another one for a great price.

So, more important than what you paid for these fish, what type of environment are they going to be inhabiting? What size tank? I have had each of these fish long term, the trickiest being a red sea regal. My Achille's resided in a 8 foot 300 gallon tank until its aggression became overwhelming. I am by no means "tang police", but you are doing the Achille's a disservice by keeping it in a tank less than 6' in length. Btw, kudos to utilizing QT process, you may want to add Prazi- pro to the med regimen. Good luck with your new additions.

With lower SG your PH normaly drops and that makes copper poisonous

my LFS sells achilles for 190 but hes on the high end.

everything is size dependent and depends on the quality of the specimen.

Did I miss something about Moorish Idols in the past year that I was out of the hobby? I've seen people mention several times in the past few weeks that they "eat anything" - I thought they were one of those fish that never ate anything? I'd always considered them harder than copperbands or regal angels, is this not true?
