Any studies done on testing the values of various 175 watters? Thinking of dropping down to a 14k or is there a 12k reeflux in 175? now that I I just got my tek retro from reefgeek, I wanted to supplement the halide to save a few pennies, probably gonna drop the light cycle from 7 to 5 hours now just in time with the warmer weather headed our way too but would like a good par bulb to compensate looking for a very blue 10k or whiter 14k and will be supplementing with Geismann's actinic+ T5 HO.
I'm pretty stoked, been wanting to do this for some time now as I like the blue of the 20k but alone cannot stimulate the whole tank like I like but rather just the "hot spots". And with just enough space to supplement with one bulb next to the MH, I'll be able to use the other bulb to light a up a fuge down below for some serious exportation, with a tek reflector and firing a GE 6500k I'll be able to grow the chaeto faster and get the ball of it out of my display.
Input and suggestions are highly welcome
