Calling Phoenix owners

I think that there should be a sticky on the best solution to color correcting images. I understand that somephotos are strictly for photography however some need realistic coloration. I think think a widely understood way of doing this would help.

Ok I got the new bulbs and here is the pic as promised. I dont know if you can tell the difference. I like these bulbs so far they are a nice bright blue. Blue like the 20ks but brighter. I will have to see if they are still this blue after they burn in.

Looks like Coralife to me.

Yep they are Coralife Advanced clamp ons. I like them, I can adjust the height and position of the lights.

OK update. I moved my lights up about 3 inches, I noitced my purple berry was not happy(I might loose it). My rainbow monti was ****ed off as well.

I have to agree with Bean on the variable picture stuff. I have taken numerous pics of my tank, with different camera settings, white balance, etc.., and they all come out looking different. Very few of them, if any, look EXACTLY like it does to my naked eye.

I guess that makes all our shot in the same ball park. If no ones can rightfully show forth the accurate color. But we love to show our pictures. lol

+one on showing off pics. Wanted to do an update again. I moved my lights up again, about another inch. A few more of my sps browned out a bit from the new lights. I also reduced the time the lights are on and will slowly increase it. Has any one else had this happen when changing out bulbs??

I do believe it common. I changed a 10k to a 14k and some of my corals on parts changed colored. Sometimes I just wait it out on some corals and others I move. Only if it get bad do I move the lights. I think you will get as many answers to this question as there are tank owners. Good luck
