Camera For Snorkeling

I just purchased a Pentax waterproof camera. It doesn't need a housing and takes video, as well. I paid $250 for it plus the 2G SD card. The only draw back is that it's only rated for 30ft.

Last night, I stuck it into my tank and took both video and pics. It was awesome. Unfortunately, I haven't downloaded the software, yet, so I can't post any of them.

Looking forward to seeing your vids and pics!!! Glad you like the camera....

Can you get a deep water housing for your Pentax??? 30ft would be way to limiting for me!!!

No, I don't think that they make a housing for this camera. I could be wrong, though.

I plan on using mine mainly fishing, when I could "accidently" get it wet. Taking underwater video of the fish being landed is pretty cool. The video it takes is very high resolution and looks nice, but like you said 30' is rather limiting.

Good luck with your choice.

I would love to have some underwater vids of you all landing fish...that would be awesome!!!! Better than the bass pro shop vids!!! LOL....

Like I said I have the Olympus Stylus 720 SW...water proof to 10 ft...but I have the housing that lets me take it down to recreational limits...
