Are they ok to use for percs?
I am meaning to pick uo joyce's book, Untill it arrives i would like to select a nem for them. I am thinking on a blue carpet, red carpet, camo carpet, or blue crispa.
Which is the least aggressive?
Also i am heavily leaning to a Purple S.gigantea because of i have alot of flow, Not killer, But enough.
Seems like the gigg would fit best for flow wise.
What do you all think? Is flow really a concern? Its not going to blast the nem off the rocks.
I wouldn't recommend a carpet as my first anemone. I've had great success with bubble tip and long tentacle anemones. I haven't had a carpet anemone survive more than a month. They require exacting water parameters and expert care. Even then, they don't all survive. Long Tentacle Anemones are a decent starting out choice. They stay in the sand bed, don't move around a lot, and have a much better survival record.
I keep mainly sps so water is pretty good. I have had a condy, and a couple bta's and all did very well, But walked around sometimes, and thats why i got rid of them when ,y clowns died accidently.
I dont want them walking. I can handle right on perameters/
