Can a 6" gig ingest a 4" Angel?

My newly added gig (after 6 days of septa and 2 days of QT) decided to capture my angelfish. Since the gig is not much bigger than the fish, will it be able to go through the digestive process. I tried to pull the angel out but the gig had a pretty good hold and I didn't want to overdue it because the gig is so new. Thoughts please

Yeah. It most likely will digest it. It will take it and fold it and put it into it's stomach.

Keep an eye on it, as that is a large meal. Do not be surprised if it spits it out. Grab it and discard it, if it does.

i would not be surprised if it digests it, then spits out the bones later. i had a newly acquired 4" gig eat a 3" panther grouper and was fine. it grew considerably in hte next couple weeks though. lol
