Can a Nano have more than 2 clowns?

I would be very hesitant in doing that. My two clowns are quite terroritorial in my 30 gallon. Although i do have 4 other fish that live in the tank most of the time they try to keep their distance from the clowns home ( rbta).

I had two clowns in my 60g cube back in the day. A Pink Skunk and a yellow strip Maroon. And then I had one. It wasn't the skunk.

I would say no as well, especially if the first pair is already established. They own the whole tank and will just tolerate fish of other families. Other clowns (or Damsels) not so much.

More than two in anything under a 180 rarely works long term, and it's very questionable in any tank under 8' long. The one exception would be to overstock a tank with a lot of clowns, theory being that they don't know who to fight if there are lots of them. I dontbrecommend it, but it can work.

And even then they will pick out the odd ones and kill them. Say you have 30 of orange percs and add an orange perc with a small black dot on him. The one with the dot will be killed very quickly.
