i have this question for your experience since tonight i was watching my tank and my cleaner shrimp was trying to get a hermit out of its shell and dont know why ! i saw it trying bad i feed regular so i asumme they r not hungry ;) any comments here please

I've never heard of it; but, it seems possible.

I used to have a Skunk that liked to kill and eat Peppermint Shrimp. It always seemed to be the one that liked to eat aiptasia.

I have also seen a Skunk pull a bristle worm out of its hole and eat it.

Since shrimp like the taste of shrimp, a hermit isn't that far off. Also, hermits carry eggs on their backs. If the shrimp pulls the hermit far enough, it could snatch an egg.

Best of luck,

Roy

Sure can, I added another cleaner to get mine to come out in the open more often and they turned into little killers. Eating hermits left and right and ripped the legs off my poor decorator crab and rolled them away to eat. That was scary to watch and cruel, they took all the legs off one side and left him. Got rid of one and the killing stopped. Very strange.
