Can a tang's back fin become paralyzed?

We have a Blue Tang who can only swim with her tail in the air and head down. She can move her front fins but seems not to be able to move her back end. She hides constantly but eats when food is offered to her. She is thin so we try to feed her several times daily. We have her in a "sick tank" but don't know if there is anything we can do for her. Any suggestions??????

Usually an extended dorsal fin is a sign death is eminent. Hopefully that wont be the case here.
