Can any two type pair

I have been reading alot of posts on here about pairing occelaris clowns. I guess my questions is more geared to is can any two types pair up I have a regular occy and a black and white could they pair up? The reason I ask they are in seperatable. They even sleep in the same noock in one of my rocks. They also are notorious for doign the twitching whether it being the larger one doing it or the smaller one. So more just a question and wanting others opinions.

They are the same species, so yes. They can pair up. There have even been successful hybrids produced.

Thank you elegance I knew they were the same species but did not know if they would because of color most of the time people get matching pairs. However I didnt and was lucky they took to each other as they did.
