can anyone id this?

No idea. Is it alive? It looks like a big clean branch of Tonga rock. Can you get a closer pic of the polyp and corallite detail?

Does it have loosely space tiny hair like polyps? If it is a coral, the shape suggest it could be a fire coral, a member of the genus Millepora. Not to be confused with Acroprora millepora. in the genus Acropora. I will see if I can find a pic of ours, which is a brown colour, yours looks bleached.

Crappy phone pic but it gives you an idea.

It slimes & the tiny hair like polyps tend to catch bubbles.

here r a couple more pics. really its not white. its just the white balance on tbe camera I can't get it right :(

Got it from a local reefer getting out of the hobby. It's not doing well though :( loosing skin in random spots. Getting worse every day

What does the skeleton look like up close. The detail in where the polyps sit, the corallites, can better determine what it is.

it maybe that. what is yours called? growth is similar to mine.

I do not know species name, but it is a Millepora sp of some type. As others have stated yours has distinct polyps mine does not. The only thing in common is the shape of the colony. Sorry for steering you down the wrong path.
