Hey, concidering we may be moving soon i have decided to go for an all in one.... im woundering tho... which one should i go for?

Im hoping to get one that is 24g+, comes with a stand that wont require to much modding...

ill probably be keeping some lps, zoas/other soft corals (torch coral, candy canes in particular).... and as for fish probably a clown or 2 (and a cleaner shrimp)

Our lfs is horrible tank wise, they wont carry any extra supplies so i will be doing my ordering via online (I live in Canada - British Columbia)....

what would you suggest? (what are the pros/cons of it)....

o btw i am absolutly horrible at DIYs which is why im going for an all-in-one, so less moding i have to do the better lol

well thank you! and happy be-lated valentines day lol =P

So what would you suggest?

I would go with a stock:

Aquapod 24
Biocube 29
or
Nanocube 24

And I would decide which one of those to get based on the ability to get them in Canada. If there are only Biocubes in Canada for example I would go with them as there is not that big of a difference between the 3 brands.

Also stick with stock lighting. I had a Nanocube 24g DX and kept the corals on your list in that tank.

Finnex 30-M tank with 150 watt MH....or maybe CADlights....

or a 28g Nanocube HQI modded from nanocustoms....comes with added actintics, and comes with a free stand for 599.

if you have the budget, i'd go for the cadlights or the solana (minus the disco ball light, opt for a sunpod or something along that line).

aye right now im torn between the two... i have a budget of roughly 1k-1.25 for tank/supplies... then another 300 for an ro/di unit and 700 for sand/liverock/fish/corals =P so 2.25k in total lol so a fair bit... but at the moment i love the look of solana, and no i wouldnt dare go for that light lol definatly a sunpod.... but however i am looking at the new 39g cadlight one that came out and i love it.... has anyone had experience with either? what would be the pros/cons of either?.... im having a very very hard time deciding lol

I you want the best. Check out http://www.nanocustoms.com

They have free shipping and a stand special going on. I am not sure how it would work going to the great white north...but...its worth checking out.

p.s. Cadlights has some serious quality problems IMO. At least the only one I have seen did.

I'd also check out the Red Sea Max. You can get them in Alberta and BC for $800 or less including stand.

If ur just keeping softies and lps, lighting wouldn't be much a concern. The RSM looks nice, I'm partial to the Solana, but the cadlights would give you more volume. Although, try and get the dimensions on the back compartments of what ur thinking of buying. I just looked @ the cadlights and the rear compartment seems huge, the solana's isn't as much IMO.

I would go with a current Solana 34g. they are more expensive but really nice.

I agree i could not afford this and went with a 12 gallon aqua pod (being in high school i cant afford a lot) and so far i really have enjoyed it the temperature has to be set a little high (around 81 F) because of the lights but other than that everything in it is very happy and it sits on my night stand which is quite serene when im going to sleep.
