I have always heard you shouldnt disturb your sand bed too deeply. Some people like to stir the top 1/2" but avoid going deeper as not to disrupt the benefits of a sand bed.
My clown fish has taken up a bad habit of excevating by fanning his tail. He does it right where his anemone touches the sand. The sand bed varies in depth in my tank but it used to be about 4" below the anemone. My clown has dug a pit thats nearly to the bare glass and probably 6x12".
Should I be worried about the disruption of the sand?
