Can I bring this back?

A friend gave me a coral that was stung by another in his tank. It looks half dead. Can they recover or should I just pitch it? I put it in my tank.

as long as its got tissue, it can recovered. it will take very good water quality to have a chance though.

Agree^^^^with the above. But put it in a shaded area and try to get a feeding response out of it with some marine snow or coral frenzy. Once it starts feeding try some mysis.
