can i connect my new 150 to my old 54 bow front yet.

I've had a 54 bow front (garden reef) for 18 months. I've built my new 150 into the wall. the 150 was filled 3 weeks ago and put 150 lbs of live sand in 2 weeks ago and live rock from my 54 and 1 wrasse in 1 week ago. so..... can I connect this 200+ setup to my 54 gal without to much damage. I'm just thinking it would be like a 90% water change. I've been exchanging about 3 gallons a day back and forth. what do you guy think and reccommend!!

you can connect them to the same sump if thats what you mean just make sure the new tank is fully cycled
