can I keep a pipefish?

I am guessing that the answer is no, but I figure that I could ask, since I love pipes.

I have a 75g display, minimal rockwork in the tank, lots of flow, SPS, LPS, shrooms, zoas, planning to eventually get an anemone (probably a BTA or sabae) and the fuge will be huge. I have tons of pops in the fuge and overflow.

tankmates would be
1 flasher wrasse
1 yellow wrasse
1 fairy wrasse
1 swallowtail angel (might eventually replace with tang)
2 firefish
2 percula clowns
1 YWG
3 gobies (either a pair of neons and a clown or vise versa)

I was hoping to keep a pair... would it work? I am guessing no, but who knows, I might be wrong...

thats what I fuigured. I am setting up a 20L nano though, and I might end up keeping a pair in there and setting it up with there needs in mnd. it would be conected to my current tank.

that sounds good :)
hope it works out

what kind of pipe? i recently saw some baby alligator pipe and they were SO cool/cute

but i dont have a tank for em >_<

I agree with Danfrith. Doryrhamphus also seem to do fine with moderate flow. Your tank mates are fine with pipes, except I'm not sure what a YWG is.

The only word of caution is the anemone. Dragonfaces are the only pipes that have been known to survive with an anemone, but a medium or large one could easily consume them. Any other species would definitely be stung by the anemone (which would almost CERTAINLY cause death or serious infection leading to death).
