Can I leave a carpet anemone in a bag for a few hours?

I just bought a carpet anemone and forgot I have to leave for an appointment in about an hour. I don't want to put it in the tank and not be home to watch it.
Can i open the plastic bag for air and leave the anemone in it until I'm back home in 6 hours or so?

I know, I know... I'm embarrassed to be asking that, but I completely forgot about this appointment and I do need to go. I'm normally more responsible than that. So please, give me constructive feedback.

Sure, so long as it doesn't get too hot or cold. I wouldn't even leave the bag open, as it may evaporate quickly and raise the salinity quickly as well. As long as it is overlayed with pure oxygen, you should have no problem

Dont forget, when you get home it will have its foot on the plastic more than likely, so be extra carefull when removing it. And good luck.
