I recently got the coral fresh from Bali.
I cannot seem to get a ID on it.

I want to name it "Jokers Wild" or "Purple Hornets Acro"
Since it has the same color as the hornets zoos.

I'm sure it already has a name I just wanted some attention ;)

Here is a pic It's a little crappy and has only been in the tank for 5 mins...

Name away! While you're at it, make sure you put LE in front of whatever name you choose :)

Cool looking coral.

Looks similar to one of the Incredible Hulk acro morphs, but even if it was the same coral, you really can't call it the same if you don't know for sure. Think it is different anyway, and really nice too! So, name it whatever you want.

FWIW I got this on the same day...

Similar colors except the yellow/green is only on the tips on the coralites. May be a Bonzai wait and see how it colors up after a few weeks...

i would give it a name. give it some time to see if it keeps the yellow and purple mix , get a better pict and it will pay for itself 10x over .

I actually have new 14K bulbs on the way I wil try ti get soem decent macros when they come.

I have decided on "LE Ultra Rare One Of A Kind Jokers Wild Acropora"

Hows that sound?

Name it what you want, but I have seen them before since they come in as a maricultured piece. Many of them will go brown when settling in. FWIW, most of the named pieces that I know are tried and tested in captivity ;)

I sure hope it holds it's color!

I've already got about 10 people calling dibbs on frags locally.

If I'm lucky this thing will pay for my tank.

BTY has anyone seen anyting like it before?

Personally, I go for the George Foreman approach with my corals: Kasey I, Kasey II, Kasey III,...

Nice coral!

Just call it joker coral (rolls off the tongue). Of course, if its named "joker's wild" coral, it will end up being simplified on forums anyway.

In all seriousness, "joker's wild" coral gets my vote. Coloration fits the name IMO.
