So what do you guys think? Is there enough light for a clam to live in my biocube (i believe its 19 inches tall) Is the 150 watt sunpod powerful enough?

yes, just keep up with ALK/Calcium demands-- i think 150 is the lowest youd want, but then again you have a small tank so it should be okay

You sure can! I have a 29 gallon Biocube as well with a Phoenix 150 watt MH bulb. It is my first and only clam! Here's an old pic of my maxima, I need to update it. And like unbreakable says, keep up with Alk and calcium, they do suck up a lot of it. I also dose Magnesium as well. Good Luck and if you get one, be sure to post pics!

Yes you definitely can. I had 9 clams in a little 29 cube for 7 months under 175w MH. Like someone already mentioned keep on top of your parameters and you'll be fine!

how do you guys keep your calcium up in the nanos because my calcium is at 350 now and i dose kent marine calcium and kent nano reef formula everyday? All of my other parameters are fine. I dont understand this please help!

Clams suck up a lot of calcium. If you have a LFS nearby, take a sample of your water for them to check it. You may have to increase your dosage to get it up there, you'll also need to keep an eye on Alk levels as well. If you don't have an LFS close, invest in a good test kit. BTW, in addition to Ca and Alk, I also dose for Mag.

I would check mangesium before you continue adding calcium, it could be that your magnesium is really low and wont let you raise the calcium. keep magnesium in the 1300 range. buy an Elos Magnesium test kit-- if it's good, go with some like B-ionic to add calcium chloride.. youll also want to check your alkalinity
