Can motor be fixed?

Hi,
I have two MP40WES purchased in November, 2011. Recently, one of them would start and immediately shut off, the LED light would flash orange and red. Documentation stated motor had gone bad and I should purchase a new motor. Is this something that can be fixed and at what cost?

We are unable to repair VorTech motors and recommend that you do not attempt to repair them either. With that in mind, you are able to send the unit in for service to ensure it isn't another component causing the Red/Orange. To have your pump sent in, please go to http://ecotechmarine.com/support/request-service/ and fill out our Return Materials Authorization form to receive the necessary email and other information you need to send in your part/pump for service.

Chili,

I would recommend sending the entire pump. It will not cost any additional and will ensure the entire pump is in working order.
